Black Friday

I'm in a fog after being up almost 24 hours....between Thanksgiving cooking and then Black Friday shopping....got home and in bed about 5:15....took a little while to get to sleep...because I hurt all over from the long lines....then for some crazy reason, I was up somewhere between 8:30 and 9...I wish I took a picture of the craziness....but I didn't...

We visited with some nice people while being in line outside of Old Navy for an hour....and we didn't witness this but heard about was two men got in a fight at Wal-mart over a Barbie.....I'm sure that was a sight to see.

My mother in law was a complete lunatic yesterday....my husband finally decided it was time to give her a haldol...the Dr prescribed them (as needed) for the times her had these complete breaks with reality...he has been reluctant to give an anti-psychotic.....partly because he is in denial on how bad off she is. She finally settled down once it kicked in....She so needs to be in assisted living....everybody sees it but him....and he is the one to make that decision.

OK.....I'm pretty sure I'm rambling now...

I'm in

A day or 2 after my vent about being snubbed by Pinterest .....I got an email saying "I'm in!!!" Well, all I can say is: this is the most addictive thing ever. I've been an absolute pinning fool this week....one problem I have though, is sometimes I'm not really sure what board to pin something on.....like do I pin it to the craft board....or the for the home board.....so many decisions. Having visual reminders of all these great ideas is so invigorating. In the process of looking for all these ideas....I've come across several great blogs to follow.....so that is a plus.

I got some great ideas for Thanksgiving next week, I'm going to print some name tags, have some printable actvities for the boys, and have a fall candy bar, with one of my vases holding cake pops....I can't wait to try these!

That is what is getting me back to blogging, I found out about this fun site last week and have had a blast going here and there....totally random..hence the new blog name. So at this site you have to be invited to join....whatever...I requested an invite.....got an email that I'm on a waiting list....again....whatever. So my blog is now my own "pinterest idea board"....so there!
as a practice here is my first "pin"......great idea for fall party or get together......or anytime owls would be appropriate.

Beyond behind

I'm so far behind I don't even know where to start.

• Had some health scares and issues to deal with, but that is mostly better....I just have to make some changes to my life style that will not be easy.
• Went on a wonderful spring break trip to New Mexico with a stop in Amarillo on the way.
• Had a quick Easter weekend trip to Washington DC...it was amazing...didn't see everything but saw a lot.
• Went to Tiffany's showers in Los Angeles and one in El Paso....plus getting ready for her shower here....it's a whirlwind of activities
• Molly and Joey have been visiting while Blake is in special forces selection...I'm pretty stressed about that....but that is his choice.
• been mapping out my crazy busy summer....looks like no rest for the wicked.....schools out June 5, conducting training June 9 and 10....will go to AZ soon after that to help with the move and nursery for Tiffany and Ray.....plan on staying a week to 10 days. July Bill and I will do something to celebrate our anniversary, then at the end of July I'm presenting at a conference, then I'll head back out to AZ for the twins birth...I hope they wait for me!

Heartbroken Grandma

Well if Ray gets promoted, then they won't be moving back to Dallas.....so for purely selfish reasons ...my heart is broken.I was so excited about decorating the nursery, and helping out with the babies...and having lots of family around all the time....but it's not about me.....it's about what is best for Tiffany and Ray....that is what I have to remember....even though I feel like crying....
So , I can still be excited about the shower....as soon as we figure out when to have it, and as soon as we figure out our summer training schedule....I can travel to Phoenix and still help with the nursery....and I found out I can do FML so I will be able to help out for a few weeks when the babies are born....

Party Planning Grandma

I've been in party planning mode all week. Wednesday is the neighborhood bunco group at my house.....I'm doing a taco bar.....then thinking about the up coming baby showers....I want to send some things to the showers for Tiff and Ray in LA and El Paso.....then looking at stuff for both Erin's shower in May and Tiffany's shower in June. I think being a party planner would be a great job....but I came up with or found a couple of good games ....one they have these baby shower scratch offs...you sell them at the shower, then give the mom the money for a diaper fund. Then the other..fill a diaper bag with necessities, had people guess what the items are...the one who guesses the most wins a prizes and mom to be gets the diaper bag full of stuff. Last weekend...went and looked at IKEA baby furniture....I think Tiffany has made her choices.....so it won't be too long before we are getting that room ready.

Found a Dr.

Found a doctor to take over Tiffany's OB care for when she moves .....so I don't know about Tiffany, but that is a big load off my mind. She will be at 29 weeks when they move....I know that will not be easy...but that's the way it is. Her birthday is next week and I sent giftcards for maternity clothes....Bill doesn't think that is a good b-day gift...but Tiff and I do.

TGIF....and I hope to get started on the guestbathroom this weekend.
