Beyond behind

I'm so far behind I don't even know where to start.

• Had some health scares and issues to deal with, but that is mostly better....I just have to make some changes to my life style that will not be easy.
• Went on a wonderful spring break trip to New Mexico with a stop in Amarillo on the way.
• Had a quick Easter weekend trip to Washington DC...it was amazing...didn't see everything but saw a lot.
• Went to Tiffany's showers in Los Angeles and one in El Paso....plus getting ready for her shower here....it's a whirlwind of activities
• Molly and Joey have been visiting while Blake is in special forces selection...I'm pretty stressed about that....but that is his choice.
• been mapping out my crazy busy summer....looks like no rest for the wicked.....schools out June 5, conducting training June 9 and 10....will go to AZ soon after that to help with the move and nursery for Tiffany and Ray.....plan on staying a week to 10 days. July Bill and I will do something to celebrate our anniversary, then at the end of July I'm presenting at a conference, then I'll head back out to AZ for the twins birth...I hope they wait for me!

Party Planning Grandma

I've been in party planning mode all week. Wednesday is the neighborhood bunco group at my house.....I'm doing a taco bar.....then thinking about the up coming baby showers....I want to send some things to the showers for Tiff and Ray in LA and El Paso.....then looking at stuff for both Erin's shower in May and Tiffany's shower in June. I think being a party planner would be a great job....but I came up with or found a couple of good games ....one they have these baby shower scratch offs...you sell them at the shower, then give the mom the money for a diaper fund. Then the other..fill a diaper bag with necessities, had people guess what the items are...the one who guesses the most wins a prizes and mom to be gets the diaper bag full of stuff. Last weekend...went and looked at IKEA baby furniture....I think Tiffany has made her choices.....so it won't be too long before we are getting that room ready.

Baby Showers

I found this stuff for Tiffany's Baby Shower.....it is beyond cute. Then it turns out a work friend is also expecting twins and she is about 2 weeks behind Tiffany...so I thought I could host a shower for Erin in May and then Tiffany's will be in June. The good thing is I was able to buy the plates/napkins/cups in bulk and save plus I had a coupon so I saved again.....that makes me happy. There are people to help with both showers so that will help.....as long as I let go and delegate. I was major disappointed when I learned this specific diaper cake is discontinued....all of them are now the tiered ones.....and some are even cheaper...but that wasn't the point....I wanted this one.....my other dilema was if it would be OK to use the same center piece for both showers....I need to check the etiquette on that one....but I decided I could make the one in this picture...you can buy the babies....so that is what I will do. I ordered 30 really nice thank-you cards in this theme and two corsages...with two babies in a pea pod....the package came yesterday.....they are so cute...Bill said they are big and gaudy. I'm basically buying stuff early so I don't get hit with all of the expense at once.
